Bolts10 ("Bolts10," "we," "us," or "our") operates a multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables small trade service businesses ("Clients") to send automated SMS job notifications to their end customers ("End Customers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you interact with our platform, whether as a Client (a trade business using Bolts10) or as an End Customer receiving notifications.
By using our platform or receiving SMS notifications sent through it, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
Bolts10 is a software platform headquartered in the United States. We provide automated communication tools — primarily SMS-based job notifications — to trade service businesses including plumbing, HVAC, septic service, sewer and drain, excavation, and related fields.
Bolts10 acts as a data processor on behalf of our Client businesses. Each Client retains responsibility for the data they submit to the platform and for obtaining appropriate consent from their End Customers.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Provided by Client Businesses
When a trade business signs up for Bolts10, we collect:
- Business name, owner name, and contact information
- Billing information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store raw card numbers)
- A dedicated phone number assigned to the business for SMS delivery
- Business personality and branding preferences
- Job records, customer lists, and service history that the Client submits to the platform
2.2 End Customer Information
To send job notifications, Client businesses submit to our platform the following End Customer data:
- Mobile phone number — used solely to deliver transactional SMS notifications
- Customer name
- Service address
- Job description and appointment details
- Notes relevant to the service visit
This information is provided by the Client business and is associated with a specific job or service call.
2.3 Automatically Collected Data
When you interact with our platform (as a Client) or our website, we may automatically collect:
- IP address and general location
- Browser type and device information
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Referring URLs
This data is used for security, analytics, and platform improvement purposes only.
2.4 SMS Delivery Records
We maintain logs of SMS messages sent through the platform, including delivery status, timestamps, and opt-out records. These logs are used for troubleshooting, compliance documentation, and billing reconciliation.
3. How Mobile Phone Numbers Are Collected
Bolts10 requires all Client businesses using our platform to collect End Customer mobile phone numbers with clear notice that SMS notifications related to their service appointment may be sent. Specifically:
- Mobile numbers are collected at the time of service booking or appointment scheduling, either verbally, via a booking form, or through the Client's existing intake process.
- End Customers are informed — before their number is used — that they may receive SMS messages related to their service appointment, including confirmation, technician arrival notice, and job completion updates.
- Clients are contractually required to maintain records of consent and to honor opt-out requests immediately.
If you are an End Customer and believe your number was submitted without your consent, please contact us at support@bolts10.com and we will investigate promptly.
4. SMS Notifications — Transactional Only
SMS notifications sent through Bolts10 are limited to:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Technician dispatch and estimated arrival notices
- Job completion confirmations
- Service estimates or proposals (when requested)
- Invoice delivery
- Post-service follow-up related to the completed job
- Google review requests directly following completed service
Message frequency: End Customers may receive between 1–5 SMS messages per service visit, depending on the job workflow configured by the Client business.
Message and data rates: Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.
SMS messages sent through Bolts10 are delivered from a dedicated 10-digit long code (10DLC) or toll-free number registered to the Client business. All numbers are registered with carriers in compliance with CTIA Messaging Principles and A2P 10DLC requirements.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We share information only as necessary to operate the platform:
6.1 SMS Delivery Partners
We use third-party carriers and SMS delivery infrastructure providers to transmit messages. These providers receive only the phone number and message content necessary for delivery. They are not authorized to use this data for any other purpose.
6.2 Cloud Infrastructure
We use third-party cloud services (including database and hosting providers) to store and process platform data. These providers operate under strict data processing agreements and are located in the United States.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bolts10, our Clients, or others.
6.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Bolts10, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users before any such transfer and give you the opportunity to request deletion of your data.
7. SMS Opt-Out and Your Rights
7.1 How to Opt Out
As an End Customer, you may opt out of receiving SMS notifications at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive. Your number will be added to the opt-out list within seconds, and no further messages will be sent from that number.
- Contact the trade business directly and ask them to remove your number from their notification list.
- Contact Bolts10 support at support@bolts10.com with your mobile number and we will process the opt-out on your behalf.
7.2 How Opt-Outs Are Honored
- Opt-out requests are processed immediately and automatically upon receipt of the STOP keyword.
- The opt-out is recorded in our system with a timestamp.
- No further SMS messages will be sent to your number from that Client's dedicated number.
- The Client business is notified of the opt-out for their records.
- Opt-out records are retained in compliance with carrier and CTIA requirements.
7.3 Opt Back In
To resume receiving notifications after opting out, you may reply START to the same number, or contact the trade business to re-add your number through their intake process with your renewed consent.
7.4 Other Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@bolts10.com.
8. Data Retention
We retain Client business data for the duration of the active subscription plus 90 days following account cancellation, after which it is deleted.
End Customer phone numbers and SMS delivery logs are retained for up to 24 months for compliance and troubleshooting purposes, then deleted unless retention is required by law.
Opt-out records (STOP requests) are retained indefinitely to ensure compliance with carrier regulations and to prevent accidental re-enrollment.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Role-based access controls limiting internal access to data
- Multi-tenant data isolation — each Client's data is logically separated from all others
- Regular security reviews and monitoring
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@bolts10.com.
10. Children's Privacy
Bolts10 is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify Client businesses via email. Continued use of the platform following any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
